The Port of Houplin-Ancoisne, close to that of Santes but located at the other shore of the De?le river, is in service since 1990, by giving back life to an industrial waste land that was abandoned till this date. The Port of Loos-Squedin will accommodate the ODC (Organic Development Center) of Lille Metropole, which is a main player in the decisions and policies for the development of green wastes. Currently in construction, this tool will be operational in 2007 and should generate a very important river traffic. The quays of Bass?e and Marquette come to supplement this future device. Since 2003, within the framework of the constitution of a harbour platform network working in synergy the ones with the others, the Port of Lille ensures the management of ports located outside the consular district of Lille M?tropole. It should be noted that this action is taken in all the cases after dialogue and in partnership with the local communities concerned. This is in particular the case of the Port of Harnes, in Pas-de-Calais, which intervenes in the transport service of used glass by river barges. The participation of the Port of Lille in the platform Delta 3 of Dourges (via the common GIE with the NCS of the Port of Dunkirk (Nord Container Service) proceeds with the same logic. The management of the Port of Marquion, close to Cambrai, illustrates the interest of the Port of Lille for a place strategically located in the layout of the future connection Seine-North. The management of the Port of Arques and of one part of the adjacent activity zone is a very good example of this type of partnership. |
